Alongside Sadag, you’ll find Powa, an organisation that is dedicated to providing services and shelter to women experiencing domestic violence. Unfortunately, South Africa is known for its horrifying cases of gender-based violence. Women in South Africa are five times more likely to be killed at the hands of a man, which makes Powa incredibly essential to making women and girls feel safe. If you or a loved one are in a dangerous situation and are in need of emergency shelter and assistance, Powa is your solution.
